The Tribal Technical Assistance Program began in 1992 with the introduction of the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991. The goals of the Program are to assist American Indian Tribal governments by increasing their technical capabilities in transportation and to expand their workforces to effectively address their transportation needs.

The TTAP program is financially supported by the Federal Highway Administration (FWHA), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), and Colorado State University (CSU). Any opinions, findings, conclusions, or recommendations presented in this homepage do not necessarily reflect the views of FHWA, BIA, or CSU.
